A Drank Handle for a Shop-Built Thickness Sander Part Two

At the end of Part One, I described how I cut the profile of the beam. It wasn't until after all the cutting was done that I noticed I had a problem. The material I used for the beam was 3/8" x 2" anodized, extruded aluminum bar I had salvaged from a store years ago. I have a few 10-foot lengths of this, as well as lots of smaller pieces left over from other projects. As you can see in Photo 10 in the first part, the scrap piece I inserted in the slot of the hubs had to be milled down slightly to fit the slot. I think it measured about .384".
