The True Cost of 3D Resin Printing

Almost every conversation I have about my new 3D resin printer starts with the question, is the resin printer more expensive than filament printers? Short answer is the material is very comparable, but the labor costs make the resin printer-prepared parts much more expensive. In the summer 2016 issue of Digital Machinist, I wrote about a costing spreadsheet that I had developed and used for parts printed from my filament printers.
