摘要

Accurate laboratory grab sampling is a delicate process, requiring operators to follow sound best practices to ensure accurate analyzer measurements. Grab sampling is also critically important to an operation's bottom line—accurate analyzer results play a vital role in ensuring that end products meet regulatory scrutiny and customer specifications. However, poor analyzer results can influence decision-making and the quality of an end product, and several factors can influence or compromise a sample's representativeness on its journey from the process stream to the analyzer. Fluid and sampling system operators must minimize these variables to maximize accuracy. After all, an analyzer's results are only as good as the sample it is reading. Safety is also a top concern here, as grab sampling carries more inherent potential risks than online sampling.
