Q: What kind of bearings should be used with higher than normal Pump speeds? There are many types of ball and roller bearings that can be used in pumps. Some common ball bearing types are shown in Figure 1. This is not meant to be all-inclusive, but to represent the most common designs used in pumps. Note that in this table "1" represents excellent, and "4" represents poor.
