The phrase "Added Value" conjures up different meanings depending where you are in the valve supply chain, whether an end user, distributor, contractor or valve manufacturer. Today, in the very difficult current trading conditions, added value can, and has, slipped away as costs become the controlling factor. Those end users who stand firm and even push forward with added value will, without question in the long term, have safer valves and far better reliable plants. In this article, I will highlight typical added value that gains the interest of the end user whilst others do not.
