Merger enables Sofis to increase innovation power and advance towards digitizing mechanical products to benefit customers. In search of that competitive edge, the flow control industry has seen, and continues to see, many mergers and acquisitions. One recent example was the merge of Netherlocks Safety Systems and Smith Flow Control which formed a new entity: Sofis. Valve World recently caught up with Sofis Marketing Director Frank Gielissen, a conversation in which he explained the thinking behind the merge and discussed their plans for the future. "Both companies were quite successful in the mechanical interlocking business in their own right" began Mr. Gielissen.
