MKT: Statistics - Tractors: Tractor sales plummet 85% in first half of FY2020-21

India - Total tractor sales decreased by 85.6% during the first half (April-September) of FY2020-21 to register 1,418 units compared with 9,878 units in the same period of the previous year (2019-20). Tractor production decreased by 87.5% to 1,384 (11,099) units. Sales in the light-weight tractor (31 tons < GVW ≤40 tons) segment fell by 93.2% to 196 units in the first half of 2020-21 from 2,874 units in the first half of 2019-20.
