BIZ: Alternative Power/Product/Manufacture MKT: Export: Van Hool ships first electric coach to the USA

Belgium - Koningshooikt-based bus and coach manufacturer, Van Hool NV has shipped the first CX45E, a 100% battery-electric coach, to the USA. After an intense period of development and testing, the CX45E is now being commercially launched by Van Hool's North American exclusive distributor, ABC Bus Companies Inc, with whom Van Hool has, once again worked closely to develop this new coach. Van Hool says ABC managed the commercial contacts and, as a result, the vehicle specifications were defined in close consultation with the customers, ABC and Van Hool. An additional ten units are to be shipped to the US in the first half of 2021. The all-electric CX45E will then be delivered to two North American customers.
