MKT: Statistics - Light-duty goods: Light truck sales slide by 42% in 1H of FY2020-21

India - Sales of LCV goods carrier vehicles (i.e. trucks with gvw ≤ 7.5t) fell by 42% from 226,742 in the first six months of 2019-20 to 131,582 units in same period of 2020-21. Production of LCV goods carriers decreased by 45.6% from 248,088 units to 135,031 units in the first half of this year. Exports decreased by 48.8% from 17,318 units in the first half of 2019-20 to 8,866 units in the first half of 2020-21.
