Light bus market enjoys steady growth

India - Sales, production and export of light-duty passenger vehicles (7.5 tons and below) exhibited positive growth for the cumulative period of April-December of 2016-17. Sales grew by 3.4% in the three quarter period registering 36,187 units from 34,987 units for the same period in the prior year; production grew by 6.5% and exports recorded growth of 27.2%, up from 2,912 to 3,705 units.
