USA/Japan - Indianapolis-based Allison Transmission Inc has launched eGen Power, a new series of fully integrated zero emission electric axles. The first offering in the range is the eGen Power 100D, capable of a 23,000 lb GAWR. This follows on from and is complimentary with eGen Flex, Allison's electric hybrid drive solution launched earlier this year - see article in T&BB, September 2020. eGen Power electric axles are manufactured in Allison's recently constructed 110,000 square foot electric axle development and manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
