Housing association Peabody has teamed up with Transport for London to offer young Londoners the chance to develop employability skills and set them on the path to careers in civil and mechanical engineering. Earlier this year eight youngsters completed a pre-apprenticeship programme at Brooke House sixth form college in Clapton and were introduced to rail contractor FLO and bus operator Stagecoach. The students had received training in how to write a CV, present themselves at interview and express themselves in a confident manner.
