Live, Move and Fight

A 'Combat Sapper' syllabus, embraced at 3 RSME Regiment, has been a foundation for me to become an innovative and creative mentor, while mentoring and coaching trainees. This is especially so during this coronavirus pandemic and has led to invent this training video. The primary reason for creating this video was to assist my students with their remote learning not to be disadvantaged by the dispersal. Secondly, the Operation Rescript based video aims to incorporate combat engineering to show trainees how the training can be utilized during this situation. There were not any constraints imposed for the design so I framed 'combat engineering and Covid-19' together as a design problem to make it functional and relevant to the current situation. It took me three days to complete the planning, resourcing the materials, and building the model, including audio recordings and final postproduction. For this video, I prepared a script and used my iPhone 10 to record self-assisted narration of the whole process.
