Noteworthy beetles found at Wicken Fen, Cambridgeshire, between 2008 and 2017

Wicken Fen, owned and managed by the National Trust for over 115 years, is a famous site for rare Coleoptera. The beetle records for the nature reserve go back to the middle of the 19th century and there was a great deal of work on this fauna from the 1890s to the 1920s (Omer Cooper, Perkins & Tottenham, 1928; Omer Cooper & Tottenham, 1932). Coleoptera recording continued to be progressed over the years, with periods of greater and lesser activity. Drane & Warrington (2009) reported on the years 2004 to 2007, when there were some significant discoveries and the site list had grown to 18,000 records of 1,578 species. Here we provide an update from recording and surveys from 2008 to 2017, as several species are worthy of comment.
