A simple novel device can provide independence for peritoneal dialysis patients

There are multiple barriers to peritoneal dialysis (PD) use. Physical disabilities, such as visual disturbances, loss of fine motor skills, diminished motor strength, and an inability to hang PD bags, are some of the barriers for expansion of PD, especially among the frail elderly population, which constitutes a large portion of the new end-stage kidney disease population.
