STAY-AT-HOME and non-gathering mandates due to COVID-19 concerns have led to massive reductions in worldwide foodservice demand.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, restaurant sales in the U.S. plunged a record 26.5% from February to March, when the restrictions started. Monthly sales averaged $65 billion from April 2019 through February 2020, but were just $48.6 billion in March. Numbers for April were notavailable at press date, but losses expected to be even larger.
