AEPW Ganges river project ''Renew Oceans'' collapses

In an unexpected turn, the Singapore-based non-profit Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) has terminated the ''Renew Oceans'' project. AEPW was launched almost two years ago in London by 29 plastics industry companies, including BASF, Braskem, Clariant, Covestro, Shell, Dow, LyondellBasell, Sabic, Exxon Mobil and Chevron Phillips Chemical, who had committed USD 1.5 bn for reducing and eliminating plastics waste in the environment.
