Initial vaccine rollouts are yet to spark full-blown optimism in the European plastics industry, but just around half (47%) of PIE's 5th Readers Survey respondents across all sectors and regions expect business performance in H1 2021 to outpace results from H2 2020. Another 42% see a stable business situation, with nearly 11 % prepared for declines. For 2021, the main concerns for the plastics industry in Europe remain cost of materials, feedstock availability and sales volumes. These are key results from the poll on business development in the European plastics industry, with more than 300 participants.
