Japan's JFE Steel sees Q3 output rise 12% on quarter as manufacturing ramps up

Japanese steelmaker JFE Steel's consolidated crude steel production rose 11.6% quarter on quarter to 5.68 million mt over July-September, parent JFE Holdings said Nov. 9, as demand from local manufacturing improved, although the total was still down 20.3% year on year. The output took the company's steel production for the first half of Japan's AprilMarch fiscal year to 10.77 million mt, down 20.3% on year.
