Australian government lifts 2018 iron ore, met coal price forecasts

Australia’s Department of Industry,Innovation and Science is predicting FOBAustralia iron ore prices will fall from $64.3/mt in 2017 to $51.5/mt in 2018 and to $46.7/mt in 2019 in its Resources and EnergyQuarterly report for October-Decemberreleased in January. This compareswith $64/mt FOB, $48.5/mt and $47/mtrespectively in the previous Septemberquarterly report.
