Fischer carbene complex with hydrophilic OEG-tentacles decorates antibody surface with in situ generated gold nanoparticles for rapid, sensitive, visual detection of proteins

Gold nanoparticles were generated and immobilized on the surface of an antibody conjugated with a hydrophilic Fischer carbene complex with oligo-ethyleneglycot tethers, enabling rapid visual detection of the corresponding antigen specifically, even in serum, at a very low concentration without any instrumentation.
