Circular Economy - From words to deeds, how Elkem is working to recycle silicones

Elkem is currently participating in a project with the potential of reducing the carbon footprint of silicone by more than 75 percent through chemical recycling. While commercial recycling of silicones back to chemical building blocks has existed for many years, the overall strain on recovery and sorting of silicones end-of-life has not made recycling a mainstream activity.
