Heat-reflective paint for facades with intense colours

Everybody knows this phenomenon: dark surfaces act as a magnet to the heat if they are exposed to the direct sun radiations as they absorb the light, transforming it into heat, contrary to clear surfaces which, on the contrary, reflect it. The innovative StoColor X-black paint, belonging to the new generation of iQ - Intelligent Technology, allows to overcome the technical limitations while choosing the facade tints when an actual energy requalification or new construction initiative is launched using a thermally insulating EPS board system. Overheated facades with following cracking occurrences are the possible consequences of high temperatures which will not be tackled any longer: thanks to the innovative NIR pigments (Near Infrared) the facade which has been treated with a heat reflective paint can keep the thermal peaks, caused by the high solar rays exposure, under 70°C.
