Varnishes and ecofriendly sustainability seem two worlds apart,on the contrary,ICA,the Italian industrial group which is known all over the world for the innovations in the field of wood and glass varnishes,has made the sustainable development its workhorse.Aiming at the sustainable development means guaranteeing to people quality,safety,health and environment improvement.Its water based varnishes,called Iridea Bio for interior are fomulated with waste renewable materials,non-competitive with food for human beings.Furthermore,the manufacturing steps are in line with the latest green strategies launched all over the world due to the lower environmental impact as they reduce the volatile organic compounds emissions(VOC) and the CO2 emissions which cause the greenhouse effect.In addition,their very low impact on the environment contributes to the acquisition of the LEED credits(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).These varnishes for interior furniture have obtained the Environmental Claim Validation(ECV) by UL,World leader for product certification.
