摘要

The sunflower germplasm showing resistant, moderately resistant and susceptible reactions against Alternaria blight in field conditions were assessed for change in chlorophyll, phenol and sugar content after inoculation of Alternaria helianthi under glass house conditions The chlorophyll content decreased due to the infection of A. helianthi. The rate of decrease was more in susceptible entries (54.53%) than resistant entries (15.10%). Sugar and phenol content were increased due to the infection of A. helianthi. The rate of increase was higher in resistant entries (7.07 and 19.52%) than susceptible entries (4.20 and 6.78%).
