India: Gujarat High Court orders on Pesticides Registration Guidelines

The Gujarat High Court pronounced an order dated 6th May 2016 in favour of the Pesticides Manufacturers and Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) with reference to New Guidelines established for TIM (Technical indigenous manufacture) v/s Fl (Formulation Import) without registering Technical Grade Pesticides, which was followed by Registration Committee (in compliance with interim orders of the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat, dated, 05.09.2013 in WP No.2530 of 2011 & others), the same was challenged by Crop Life India (an association of multinational companies, MNCs) & Pesticide India Industries Ltd, Delhi to stop the registration of indigenous manufacturers approved in 365th Registration Committee meeting held on 22nd April 2016.
