摘要

A simple, rapid and highly sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was applied in the determination of triclabendazole (TCB). The method depends on measuring the native fluorescence of TCB in methanol at 338 nm after excitation at 298 nm. The method was rectilinear over the concentration range of 0.05-0.9 ng mL~(-1) with a limit of detection 13.2 ng mL~(-1) and limit of quantification of 39.9 ng mL~(-1). The method was fully validated and successfully applied for the determination of TCB in its tablets with an average percentage recovery of 98.73 ± 1.11. The method was further extended for the stability study of TCB. The drug was exposed to acidic, alkaline, oxidative and UV degradation according to international Conference on Harmonization guidelines. Moreover the method was utilized to investigate the kinetics of the acidic, photolytic and oxidative degradation of the drug. The reaction rate constants and half times were also calculated. A proposal for the degradation pathways was postulated.
