Oil prices were mixed as rising Covid-19 infection rates in some countries were countered by pockets of strong demand in others. Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated fell by 57c/bl to $71.52/bl in the week to 12 August, after briefy dipping under $70/bl on 9 August. US marker WTI followed the same track to end up exactly where it started at $69.09/bl.
