Prices storm higher

Prices rose on a rapid US stockdraw and as Hurricane Florence approached the US Atlantic coast. Uncertainty over the extent of Iranian export declines as US sanctions loom and faltering Venezuelan output underpinned the gains. Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated rose by $2.23/bl to $77.68/bl in the week to 13 September, peaking the previous day at $79.35/bl, its highest since May. US benchmark October WTI climbed by 82￠/bl to $68.59/bl and Mideast Gulf benchmark November Dubai gained by $2/bl to $76.20/bl.
