Worsening US relations with China and Russia make it harder for the natural gas industry to make timely investment decisions. US president Donald Trump’s deliberate disruption of established international trade rules and agreements threatens commercial relationships between producers and consumers, undermin- ing the case for many gas projects — including those in the US.
