Chemical Control of Rice Stem Nematode, Ditylenchus angustus in Deep Water Rice in Assam

A field experiment was conducted at Regional Agricultural Research Station, North Lakhimpur, Assam to ascertain the extent of suppression of rice stem nematode, Ditylenchus angustus in deep water rice through nematicides. Nematicides by means of seeddressing, soil treatment and foliar spray was tried alone and in combination. The treatment combination, seed dressing plus soil treatment plus foliar spray at 40, 120 days after sowing and before panicle initiation stage exhibited lowest ufra infestation and highest grain yield.
