Hydrogen-based steelmaking increases momentum

As the global steel industry continues its efforts to lower its carbon emissions, the efficient use of hydrogen as an energy vector and as a reducing agent for production of DRI is receiving ever-greater attention. Technology companies with many years of experience in the use of hydrogen as a process gas are keen to point out that they already know much about its application in existing industrial plants and they have become active partners in designing, planning and building the latest systems to deploy the gas.
