OCCURRENCE AND DIVERSITY OF STAURASTRUM SPECIES IN LENTIC WATER BODIES OF CHHATTISGARH STATE, INDIA

摘要

Staurastrum is one of the placoderm desmids, belonging to family Desmidiaceae, order Zygnematales in the class Chlorophyceae. A total of 29 Staurastrum species recorded from different water bodies of Bastar, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Jashpur districts of Chhattisgarh State. All these species have been recorded for the first time from this part of India.
