Photothermal response for french bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in Haryana state.

Forty-five determinate genotypes of common bean (P. vulgaris, Rajmash) were investigated for photothermal response during rabi 1998-99 in Hisar, Haryana, India. Observations were recorded on days to flower, days to pod initiation, days to physiological maturity, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, grain yield per plant and 100-grain weight. The 45 genotypes showed adaptability under different agroclimatic conditions. Rajmash could be grown successfully in spring season under Haryana conditions.
