A field experiment was conducted on four genotypes (SH-40, DS-9814, PK-416 and PS-1042) of soyabean (Glycine max) during kharif 2004 in Hisar, Haryana, India to work out simple agroclimatic models for estimation of soyabean growth and yield under Hisar conditions. A correlation existed between the agroclimatological (growing degree-days, heliothermal units and photothermal units) and agronomical indices. Significant regression relationships were observed for leaf area index, dry matter accumulation and crop maturity with agroclimatical indices. Regression relationships developed between crop growth indices and leaf area index showed reasonable good correlation, except for relative growth rate.
