An experiment was conducted in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India, during rabi 2001-02 with 15 treatment combinations which included five seed tuberlet sizes (<10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40 and >40 g) and three true potato seed (TPS) cultivars (92-PT-27, TPS C-3 and HPS 1/13). The seed tuberlet size of 30-40 g resulted in significantly superior tuber yield, which was at par with the tuber yield obtained from 10-20 and >40 g seed tubers in all the three TPS cultivars.
