摘要

An experiment was conducted with five gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus ex. Hooker F.) culivars viz., Dhoni, Zingaro, Roselin, Dune and Balance under fan and pad cooled greenhouse conditions at Horticulture Research Farm, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat. It was observed that the cut flower yield exhibited a high level of positive and significant correlation with number of leaves and suckers per plant in gerbera. Number of suckers per plant, fresh weight of flower, flower stalk diameter and plant height exhibited positive and significant correlation with maximum direct effect on flower diameter. Improving number of suckers and leaves per plant can bring about improvement in cut flower yield. Similarly, improvement in plant height, number of suckers, fresh weight of flower and flower stalk diameter directly increase flower diameter in gerbera.
