摘要

This research was aimed to determine the chemical compounds, antioxidant potential, and anti microbial activity of ethyl acetate, Methanol and aqueous extracts from roots of Dalbergia spinosa. The extraction was conducted by using ethyl acetate, Methanol and aqueous extracts. The ethanol, Methanol and aqueous extracts were screened of phytochemical content including identification of flavonoids, alkaloids and polyphenolics. The antioxidant activity of the ethanol, Methanol and aqueous extracts were tested qualitatively with 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, FRAP Assay and ABTS activity. Its antioxidant activity was determined quantitatively using DPPH radical scavenging method. Phytochemical screening test showed that ethyl acetate, methanol and aqueous extracts from roots of Dalbergia spinosa contain Cardiac Glycoside, Glycosides, Terpenoids, flavonoids, polyphenolics, and alkaloids. The qualitative analysis of antioxidant activity of extracts showed an antioxidant activity. The IC50 value of ethyl acetate, methanolic extract, aqueous was 155.55μg/ml, 111.85μg/ml, 123.59μg/ml respectively. The research showed that antioxidant activity of the methanolic more potential than the other extracts of the roots of Dalbergia spinosa, but less than Ascorbic acid (95.91μg/ml).
