Risky business: Staying safe in the outdoors

The number of visitors to national parks and reserves is on the increase, as locals and visitors make their way outdoors to counterbalance the increasing density of our urban lives.The average size of the Australian backyard is decreasing and so is our common knowledge about the risks that are present in the outdoors.Fewer of us know through experience about how to deal with outdoor risks such as snake bites, extreme weather conditions and getting lost in the bush.
