Production just started in the December Quarter of 2017. The mine is relatively high cost and expected to produce on average 170ktpa of zinc in concentrate at a cash cost of US$0.68–0.78/lb of payable zinc for 25 years. There is the potential for value to be added to the project if the copper zone is brought into production at a later stage. The copper zone has 4.4Mt of Inferred Resources grading 1.8% copper and 0.2g/t gold. MMG has not alluded to bringing it into production, AME has left it out of our production forecasts.
