China's factory activity grew at a slower pace in October, easing demand for industrial metals, including zinc, while Europe's battle with the second wave of Covid-19 and subsequent reimposition of lockdown restrictions did little in the way of sentiment, even as manufacturing boomed in the region. However, the outlook began to improve rolling into November as hopes for a coronavirus vaccine lifted expectations of a quickapproaching reopening of the global economy, while prospects of further stimulus from the US and Europe also lent support.
