Background: The presentation will describe both the clinical and food service roles of the small numbers of dietitians who served in the Army and RAAF in World War Two. Their work in the military hospitals, such as Heidelberg in VIC, contributed to the wellbeing of many service personnel, including the nutritional rehabilitation of numerous ex-prisoners of war, in the later stages of the war.
