摘要

Background: Everyone is an expert, especially when it comes to food and nutrition. So how do we cut through the cacophony with evidence-based advice? Australians are becoming less healthy with every generation, and confusion about what and how to should eat is a major contributing factor. Accredited Practising Dietitians are uniquely positioned to translate robust and cutting-edge evidence into practical advice to help improve individual and population health. Aim: To provide an overview of the current media landscape from an audience and communications perspective. Results: Practical advice to craft effective health and nutrition messaging, tips for translating dense, evidence-based reports into consumer-friendly content, and case studies and examples to show these techniques in action will be reported.
