The influence of socio-demographic factors on stress and coping strategies among undergraduate nursing students

Background: Nursing students may experience high levels of stress during academic study, which may affect their physical and mental health. Continued severe stress may lead to attrition from a program, particularly if utilised coping strategies are not appropriate or effective. In addition, some socio-demographic factors can influence an individual?s perceived stress level and choice of coping strategies.
