Primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the pterygopalatine fossa. A peculiar diagnosis with a minimally invasive endoscopic approach

We would like to report of an interesting and instructive case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) that arose in the pterygopalatine fossa (PPF) and was diagnosed with a minimally invasive endoscopic transoral approach and successfully treated.In 2007, a 41-year-old female patient presented with a 1-month history of pain and dysesthesia in the left V2 sensitive region, associated to omolateral laterodeviation of the mandible at open mouth (Fig. 1). No other significant symptoms were present; results of ENT examination were normal, in particular the nasal fossae.
