Massachusetts Lawmakers Vote for Study of Noise from Rail Yard

The Massachusetts House of Representatives passed an amendment that would allocate at least $30,000 in support of additional analysis of noise associated with operations along the Grand Junction Railroad line in East Cambridge and at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Commuter Rail Maintenance Facility in Somerville. It would have to be approved by the Senate to be incorporated into the 2022 fiscal year state budget.
