Picture-Frustration Test Used to Assess Environmental Attitudes

Japanese researchers conducted a series of socio-acoustic surveys to assess levels of annoyance associated with changes in aircraft noise exposure attributed to expanded operations after the opening of a new terminal at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, Vietnam. They used the Picture-Frustration test to gauge attitudes about the airport, aircraft noise, living environment, and awareness of environmental protection in communities around the airport.
