Cartilaginous Tumors

摘要

Cartilaginous tumors of bone constitute the most common group of primary bone neoplasms with a broad spectrum of entities of different biologic potential and clinical course, but that occasionally display an overlapping histo-and cy-tomorphology. The most common targets for fine-needle aspiration (FNA) among cartilage-forming neoplasms are conventional low-grade and high-grade chondrosarcomas and benign chondromas. Experience of FNA of chondro-blastoma, chondromyxoid fibroma, clear cell chondrosar-coma, and some other rare cartilaginous lesions is limited, and at most is based on single cases or short series.
