摘要

Laser photo fragmentation technique has been utilized as a versatile method to produce magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles. It was found that, the diode laser beam with wavelength 808 nm is the most effective one, as it reduces the particle size of Fe3O4 to 5.5-26 nm. Casting technique was used to prepare nanocomposites based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) with different concentrations of Fe3O4. The impact of Fe3O4 on the magnetic and dielectric properties was evaluated. Additional characterization of the PMMA / Fe3O4 nanocomposites were carried out using XRD, SEM, TEM and micro hardness measurements respectively. The PM MA/ Fe3O4 nanocomposites demonstrate ferromagnetic and super paramagnetic behavior.
