I've been building an 18 foot mahogany runabout since September 2001, and it's nearing completion, so I thought I I'd let your readers see what I have done in all that time. The boat is built to a Ken Hankinsen design called the "Biscayne 18." (Ken has since retired and these plans, as far as I know, are no longer available). Of all the plans I could find on the Internet for a classic mahogany runabout, I liked Ken's designs the best. He also offered a barrelback design that was pretty sexy, too.
